LIVELY LODGE - Somerset

Easily reached from the M4 and just a 10 minute drive from the centre of Bath, Lively Lodge is set back from the road in beautiful Somerset countryside. This gorgeously Georgian lodge house sleeps 22 in 5 bedrooms – 4 are in the main house and 1 is in a self-contained studio set beneath the trees in the large gardens. With 2 hot tubs and outdoor table tennis, this is a unique place to stay for all ages; it’s well suited to large group family holidays, for breaks with friends, and unforgettable weekend celebrations.

Lively Lodge is an undeniably pretty house, set in attractive gardens, with a backdrop of trees and gently sloping fields. Inside is spacious, with classic-modern styling; the large and well-equipped kitchen leads through to a conservatory dining room with a lovely outlook over the garden, the living room is elegant, light and airy. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the other two upstairs; all of them sleep 4 and there’s another very large bedroom in the studio, which sleeps 6. This makes a great set up for a group of friends or for families with younger children.

This is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful city of Bath with its wonderful attractions like Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge. There are countless places to eat and an array of shops and buzzing markets, including the popular Bath Christmas Market. The house is also well situated for days spent discovering Bristol where there is so much to see and do, including Bristol Aquarium, SS Great Britain, We the Curious and Clifton Suspension Bridge. Within easy reach are Bradford on Avon with its canalside walks and boat trips, Bath Racecourse, and Bristol Zoo Project where a terrific family day out can be had. The Cotswolds are an hour away for days spent pootling about picturesque villages discovering the prettiest thatched cottages and quaint tea rooms.
