Lively Lodge has 5 spacious bedrooms – 4 are in the main house (2 on the ground floor, 2 upstairs) and 1 is in a self-contained modern studio in the garden, beneath the trees. With several options for bed configurations, this is group accommodation that works well for a few families with younger children, or for good friends and colleagues who don’t mind sharing snooze space. The open plan aspect of the living, kitchen and dining areas mean there’s plenty of room for you to get together – the dining table seats 22 for happy celebration feasts.
Interiors are classic-modern with a fresh and airy feel, the kitchen is fully equipped, the shower rooms are finished to the same high standard as the rest of the property, and beds are super-comfy. While away warmer days and evenings in the garden, set out on different levels, with lots of outdoor seating; thrash out a game or two of table tennis, get the steaks sizzling on the barbecue, slip into the hot tubs for a luxurious soak and watch cotton wool clouds drift by above you.
Lively Lodge is a lovely place to stay and is especially good if you want to discover the sights of Bath or attend an event in the city. It’ll take just 10 minutes to get to the city centre, where you’ll find shops and markets to browse, a multitude of cafes, pubs and restaurants, and all the wonderful attractions. See the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, beautiful Bath Abbey, the world famous Roman Baths, and have a mooch in the many museums and galleries. To escape the crowds, follow the Bath Skyline Walk for breathtaking views over the city; if you’re in adventurous mood, book with Wild Bath for paddleboarding down the Avon and a totally different perspective of all those landmarks.
