Christmas is a celebration; firstly, it’s a Christian festival to celebrate the birth of Christ, but it’s also acclaimed as ‘yule’ time – from the Norse ‘jol’ which is the winter solstice festival that pre-dates Christian times. The best thing about it is that it’s a time to gather with friends and family, to catch up, and eat together, drink together, laugh together and that in itself is worth celebrating.
