Quantock Barns sleeps 14 in sympathetically converted farm buildings arranged around a paved and gravelled courtyard with outdoor seating and a large barbecue area. Great for family holidays, regrouping with friends and self-catering corporate breaks, everyone gets their own space yet it’s easy to gather together for happy sociable times. Another 4 self-contained suites are available at an extra charge to sleep up to 10 more guests (extra charge - see our Extras page) (see Floor Plans).
Follow the path beneath the pergola and round to the right is The Wagon House, which sleeps 4 in 2 ensuite bedrooms. The ground floor is a large open plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area for 14 to one end; the other end there’s a big corner sofa and a woodburner to give extra warmth in the colder months. French doors open onto a courtyard with a private hot tub and outdoor furniture. Upstairs off a wide galleried landing are 2 bedrooms with super king beds; Bedroom 1 has a free-standing bath within the bedroom as well as an ensuite shower room, Bedroom 2 has a bathroom with a spa bath and separate shower.
On the ground floor beneath the Wagon House bedrooms are Wagon Wheel and Double Tree, 2 separate suites each sleeping 2 guests in super king beds. Both have ensuite shower rooms, and are open plan with a small kitchen area.
Right of The Wagon House is the games room with a pool table, a big U-shaped sofa, a widescreen TV and a kitchenette. Next door is The Shire Horse, in the corner of the courtyard; this suite sleeps 2 in zip and link beds (super king or twin) and has an ensuite wet room. Next to this are Paddock 1 and Paddock 2, each with their own access. These suites both sleep 2 in zip and have ensuite shower rooms. In the middle there’s a shared living space called The Grazing Paddock; it has comfy seating and a kitchen area with a table and chairs for 4, so it works well for a family or two couples.
The courtyard is quite a sunspot and is big enough for you all to gather comfortably for alfresco dining or cocktails. The built-in barbecue has worktop space for prepping and serving and there’s ample outdoor furniture, so you can enjoy time just relaxing and chatting whilst you tuck into a hearty lunch or dinner. It’s perfect for summer birthdays or anniversaries with all your favourite people.
To the side of the courtyard there are 4 extra suites; 3 sleep 2 people and the other sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. The beds are all super kings and each suite has an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and comfy seating. These suites can be booked separately at an extra charge each - see Extra Beds.
Please note that the communal areas for the barns are designed for the initial 14 guests.
