Zippity is an amazing contemporary style holiday house for family holidays and celebrations, refined hen weekends and self-catering corporate stays. Right on the doorstep there are walks in the fields and woods of the estate; take your time to stop and stare, say hello to the alpacas, goats and chickens who live here. A stone's throw away is the Longleat Estate with its drive through safari park, historic house and attractions in the main square; go and join in the fun, see those famous lions in their enclosure. Spend a day discovering the delights of Bath; it won't take you long to get there and it's such a beautiful city; browse the art galleries and museums, take a dip in the Roman Baths, see the glorious Abbey and the famous Royal Crescent.

Have a browse of the local towns and stop for a bite to eat - Warminster and Westbury are closest, but if you like quirky you should go to Frome where there's more in the way of vintage and you can find things that aren't so run-of-the-mill. Catch the Frome Independent when the town comes alive with a happy crowd and the streets are lined with stalls selling all kinds of artisan wares and street food from around the world. Then there's Glastonbury, well known for its colourful hippie vibe; soak up the tranquillity at the Chalice Well, see the abbey ruins where it's said King Arthur is buried, climb the Tor on the edge of town for the most incredible views. Go to Bradford-On-Avon and have a narrowboat ride on the Kennet & Avon canal, hire canoes or stroll along the towpath to Avoncliff Aquaduct looking out for moorhens scooting and ducks dabbling as you go.

If history is your thing you should go to Stonehenge whilst you're in this neck of the woods, or the stone circles at Avebury. Take a trip to Lacock Abbey or Stourhead House, go and discover the gruesome past of Farleigh Hungerford Castle. If the great outdoors is calling you'll find miles and miles of spectacular countryside to explore in the Cranborne Chase AONB or the Wiltshire Downs; walk up to Bratton Camp and see one of the county's White Horses carved into the chalk hillside, or climb Cley Hill for spectacular views.
