When you stay at Mellow Manor you’ll have such a wonderful time. This beautiful Victorian country house is perfect for days away with friends and family, for peaceful celebrations, sophisticated hen weekends and wellness retreats because it has everything you could possibly need to keep all ages happy. 6 gorgeously styled bedrooms sleep 12 and there’s an outdoor pool (end May- end Aug) set in a Mediterranean style walled garden, a sauna, games room, gym, all-weather tennis court, and a yoga/dance studio.

Mellow is not the word for it – this place is an absolute dream! It feels so magical, so very captivating, like another world that’s far, far away from the hubbub of modern life. All yours to explore are 5 acres of landscaped grounds, hidden away behind high stone walls and ancient trees. Paths meander round and about, leading you to secret nooks, the views stretch out for miles and miles across the North Devon countryside, with Dartmoor in the distance.

You’ll wish you could stay forever, you and yours in this earthly paradise, so any desire to go out might well be forgotten. But take a wander, down to the little town of Chulmleigh which has a distinct villagey feel; the narrow streets are lined with independent shops and lovely old cottages. Jump in the car and drive over to South Molton for a mooch about then go and visit Quince Honey Farm on the edge of town.

Take a ride on an old-fashioned steam train, on the Tarka Valley Railway, go to RHS Garden Rosemoor or the flower-filled Castle Hill Gardens at Filleigh. For more outdoorsy days, set out for a hike on the Tarka Trail or through the sunlit glades in Eggesford Forest.

Have an Exmoor adventure or a day of discovery on Dartmoor, climb the tors, spot wild ponies roaming free on the moors, stop for selfies by the waterfall at Lydford Gorge. Venture a little further and you can spend time by the sea on the beaches of the North Devon coast – if surfing is your thing, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe are among the best spots in the UK.

But even if you don’t go anywhere else at all, even if you stay put at Mellow Manor turning moments into memories, it’ll be fine because this is a place that stays with you. Those memories… they’ll be your for always.
