What a dream it is to stay at Jay’s Roost, deep in the Somerset countryside, achingly beautiful views, plenty to keep you happy as larks for every single minute of your stay. What an amazing place to stay for your group holiday with friends and family, for peaceful celebrations or impressive corporate breaks. 2 beautiful houses sleep 20 + 3 over 10 bedrooms and come with stacks of appeal in terms of design, creature comforts and features. Yep, get this – a private spa hall with a pool, hot tub and sauna, a games area and gardens to delight at every turn.
House 1:
Downstairs - Step inside the large hallway and go explore. Off to the right is Bedroom 1, access friendly with an ensuite wet room; with snooze space for 4 it makes a great room for a family. Also off the hall are a utility room with laundry facilities and doors to a covered seating area, a cosy snug, a loo, and the spacious kitchen. Left in the hall and next to the kitchen is the big open plan dining room and living room, incorporating ramped access, a curved wall and French doors to the garden.
Upstairs - Off a spacious landing are Bedrooms 2-6, all with zip and link beds that can be arranged as super kings or twins. Bedroom 3 has use of the family bathroom, the rest have ensuite shower rooms. Bedroom 2 can sleep 4, so again, a brilliant room for a family and with full height windows, you’ll be waking up to the most astonishing country views.
House 2:
Downstairs – It’s topsy turvy living here as you step inside a hallway that takes you to Bedrooms 8-10, a family bathroom and get this – a covered area with a shower just for your pet pooches. Bedroom 8 has an ensuite shower room, Bedrooms 9 and 10 have shared use of the family bathroom.
Upstairs – With level access from the ground floor, primed to take advantage of those glorious views we keep on about is a large open plan kitchen and living room with full height doors to a balcony and stairs down to the garden. Off this is Bedroom 7 with an ensuite shower room. Again, all rooms have zip and link beds (super king or twin).
Outside
Outside at Jays Roost is so very special. House 1 has a big terrace where you can sit at the Giant’s Table and love the outlook over the garden; House 2 has that balcony and views over the garden to the rolling hills. Paths meander round and about to hidden nooks and play areas with a climbing frame, play fort, roundabout, nest swing and trampoline; across the lawn is the icing on the cake – the glass walled spa hall with a heated pool, hot tub, sauna and shower room. At the front of the house there’s a covered play area with table football, table tennis and giant Connect 4. And there’s more, there’s more because free to roam are the meadows and woodlands on the farm. Play on the log swings, build a camp, paddle in the stream, look out for wildlife – there’s plenty of it!
Love your stay at Jay’s Roost, a magical world where memories are waiting to be made.
