You’ll have your own games room and hot tub, and free access to the 20 acre estate which has plenty to do for all ages.

Go for a swim in the indoor pool, make friends in the shared games room where there’s soft play for younger children, take the dog for a stroll in the fields. Amble through the meadows and the orchards, frothy with blossom in the spring time, watch dragonflies dancing by the pond, roll up your trouser legs for a paddle in the stream. Have a whole load of family fun on the pitch and putt course, play football, cricket, badminton, tennis, croquet and boules, let the little ones loose in the outdoor play area with its big pirate ship, a Wendy House and wooden tractor, watch them happily boinging on the trampoline.

Pick your own produce form the kitchen garden, go say hello to the animals who live here - free-range chickens, ducks, alpacas, pygmy goats, sheep, and guinea pigs. See the peacocks strutting about, bottle feed the orphan lambs in the spring. You’ll have your own outdoor dining area at Bumbles but there are also picnic areas on site and when evening comes, a firepit to gather round beneath the stars.

At the edge of the estate is The Lookout with glorious views across the rolling countryside. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy the views, to practice your yoga poses, or to sip a drink at sunset.

There’s no need to go anywhere else when you stay in this beautiful valley of contentment, but if you’d like to explore further you’ll find so much to see and do. Spend days on the beach at Combe Martin where you might see seals and dolphins; spuddle in the rockpools at low tide, take to the waters paddleboarding or kayaking. Discover secret coves, enjoy clifftop walks on the South west Coast Path.
