Special September Breaks

Put the hustle and bustle of the school holidays behind you and book a break in September. Such a quieter time of year, but the weather is usually still good, the roads are quieter and all the attractions are still open. Take a week long holiday or a short break in one of our fabulous large group holiday homes and you'll find so much to do and see, although with the top notch facilities we have you might not want to go out much; we've got swimming pools, hot tubs, games rooms, saunas, steam rooms, BBQ lodges and play areas for the little ones, and all in the most wonderful locations amidst miles and miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside. Peace and quiet, open air; the perfect opportunity to totally unwind.

Our holiday houses and cottages sleep 8-30 people so you can gather together your nearest and dearest and head off to Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, or Monmouthshire, and spend some downtime in a dream of a rural retreat. There's a lot to choose from; country houses, idyllic cottages, stunning barn conversions, old farmhouse and luxury lodges, and in France we have an absolute dream of a chateau. We've even got an impressive house for city breaks in Worcester, with an awesome outdoor dining pavilion with a firepit, barbecue and pizza oven, plus a fantastic swim spa. And there's an Italianette style villa on the outskirts of Monmouth that's right on the banks of the River Wye so you wake up to see swans coming in to land and geese taking off, the mist rising over the valley.

If the great outdoors is calling, we've got some brilliant properties on the borders of Somerset and Devon, so you can head off to Exmoor and explore the gorgeously diverse landscape of wild heather clad heaths, steep wooded hillsides, lush river valleys, dramatic clifftops and wide sandy beaches; some are renowned for the surf, and plenty don't have any restrictions for dog walkers. That's a bonus, you don't even have to leave the family pooch behind because we've got several dog friendly holiday homes for large groups.

September is a great time of year to get away if you have children who aren't at school yet. We've thought of them and a lot of our self catering accommodation has secure grounds with play areas where they can let off steam running around on the lawn, or playing on the swings and climbing frame, or the boingy trampoline. We even provide toddler beds, cots and highchairs at no extra cost, which means you can travel a bit lighter.

A big holiday house is hard to beat for getting together to celebrate something special. Maybe there's a big birthday, an anniversary, or a wedding coming up and you want to find somewhere to spend time relaxing with the people you love most in the world. Well you can, and you don't need to worry about catering because we've got a list of tried and tested professionals who can come in and create a feast fit for a king, leaving you to get dressed up and have a right old sociable time of it; drinks and canapes in the drawing room or on the patio, then a big chunky dining table for you to all sit round and tuck in. You can even book up a cocktail waiter, or for more fun, have a cocktail masterclass in the comfort of your Group Stays holiday home.

Our properties really come into their own for the more refined type of hen weekends; they're not party houses as such but they've still got all you need to have a good time. Hot tubs and swimming pools, some even have spa facilitites like saunas and steam rooms and you can hire some of our qualified mobile beauty therapists to come in and pamper you. Book up an activity; you'll find watersports, archery, clay pigeon shooting and one of our favourites, horse trekking in the beautiful Quantock Hills, one of the best ways to see this uniquely scenic part of Somerset.

And the cost? There's a tendency to think big means expensive, but that's not the case with us; if you calculate the cost per person between everyone in your group it works out at less than a decent hotel, so actually, it's very good value considering what you get. Have a look at our special offers below, or go onto our properties page and book up for another year. We're confident you'll find the perfect large group holiday home for a happy September break.
