Downstairs
Huxhay packs a mighty punch when it comes to good looks; this house and its self-contained annexe are handsome inside and out! The wows start the moment you step inside the wide entrance lobby/boot room where off to the left there’s an impressive utility room with laundry facilities and a WC. Go through to the open plan kitchen and dining room, so well equipped, so stylish. Full height doors open onto the terrace bringing in the sunshine and fresh air on warmer days.
Continue round to the rear hall and possibly the loveliest loo you’ve seen in ages. Off the hall is an elegant living room and a snug that’s spacious yet cosy with a big and colourful U-shaped sofa.
Upstairs
The wow factor keeps on punching when you see Bedrooms 1-6 on the first floor. Bedroom 1 is stunning, with a free standing copper bath tub by the window and a very divine Art deco style shower room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a shower room just across the landing, and doors that open onto a big balcony with views over the garden to the Exmoor countryside. Bedrooms 4-6 have ensuite shower rooms.
On the second floor, Bedroom 7 has an ensuite bathroom, and Bedroom 8 has its own shower room. With the option of 3 single beds as well as the double, Bedroom 8 is brilliant for a family or for good friends sharing.
Annexe
The self-contained annexe is just a few strides from the main house, giving you luxurious loft style living with an open plan kitchen/dining/living area, a bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower, and Bedrooms 9 and 10. This is just the ticket for a family or for couples who appreciate their own space when staying away with a large group.
Garden
From the terrace steps lead down to huge lawns with trees and shrubs, at the side of the house there’s another terrace with an outdoor kitchen that has a barbecue and pizza oven; there’s also plenty of seating, a changing room and the hot tub, perfectly placed to overlook the garden.
