In days gone by Hill View was the dairy on a busy farm in the East Devon hills but now it's undergone an incredible transformation to provide unique self-catering accommodation for 16 people. There are 7 bedrooms (6 ensuite), a huge open plan living space, a games room, sauna, and a stunning spa hall with a pool and hot tub. The views at Hill View are incredible, overlooking countryside that's much as it was a hundred years ago.
Interiors combine quirky contemporary style, rustic character and a raw industrial edge to perfection, from the black glossy ceiling in the spa hall to the secret door at the end of the kitchen and the worktop inlaid with 2p pieces -just wait till you see it! This is something else! It’s a fabulous place to stay for big family holidays and celebrations, refined hen weekends and self-catering corporate breaks.
Hill View is right on the edge of a sleepy hamlet just a few miles from Colyton and Beer on the Jurassic Coast. It's so gorgeous round these parts and what's great is that you can step out from the doorstep and explore to your heart's content; walk the high hedged lanes, discover footpaths through fields and along ancient holloways. Beer is just a 10 minute drive away, a quiet fishing village with a very relaxing air about it that makes you want to linger; have a mooch around the shops, hire a boat from Beer Self Drive Motorboats and go mackerel fishing, follow the South West Coast Path over to Branscombe, stop for lunch at the Fountain Head or stroll back for crab sandwiches at Ducky's Beach Café or fish and chips in the clifftop garden of the Anchor Inn.
In the other direction is the small town of Colyton where you'll find local shops and pubs, and a nice riverside walk; go to the station and catch the tram for a leisurely ride through Seaton Marshes, come back for tea at the Tramstop Café. Only slightly further is Seaton where there are supermarkets and dog friendly beaches; stroll along the promenade to the Hideaway Café tucked away between the cliffs, sit by the window and watch the waves break upon the shore.
The beauty of Hill View is that there is so much to see and do within just a short drive; with the coast so close you could go to a different beach every day. Play on the sands at Sidmouth, go to Exmouth for water sports, to Branscombe for Enid Blyton days out, or to Lyme Regis to stroll along the Cobb, visit the Marine Aquarium or Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, and hunt for fossils. Have a family trip to Pecorama where the young 'uns will be in their element with train rides and outdoor and indoor play areas. Have an afternoon out at the Donkey Sanctuary, see the animals at Axe Valley Wildlife Park or Wildwood Devon; further afield there's fun and excitement to be had at Crealy Adventure Park, or head down to Exeter where you can take the kids to Clip n Climb, and have a tour of the beautiful cathedral and medieval underground passages. Get back to Hill View, take a splash in the pool, soak in the hot tub, relax in the sauna and watch the sun set in the hills. Enjoy the luxury of being together - it's perfick as they say round here.

"10/10 - 13 of us stayed for a 50th celebration. The property is absolutely gorgeous (even nicer than the pictures look) with stunning views and plenty of space. The 7 bedrooms (6 with en-suites) are lovely and perfect for a large group. The kitchen is very well equipped with crockery, glasses, pots, pans etc. The house was very cosy and a lovely place to relax or celebrate a special occasion. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay again."
