Downstairs
Step into the wide reception hall where on the left is the TV room and utility room and on the right, the boot room. Straight ahead is an inner hallway with a very homely living room on the left; sofas to snuggle up on, a wood-burner if it gets chilly. On the right is the well-equipped Shaker style kitchen, in front of you is the light filled orangery, running the entire width of the house, south facing, with doors opening onto the patio. Hennaways is a house that feels like a home, you’ll slip so gently into your large group stay. Pad softly through the rooms, gather together to make unforgettable memories.
Upstairs
On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-4. Forming a suite are Bedrooms 1 and 2 and a bathroom – perfect for a family. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and room for 2 extra beds*, Bedroom 2 has 2 singles and room for 1 extra bed*. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have king size beds and ensuite facilities, and can both accommodate 1 extra bed*. Bedrooms 5 and 6 and a family bathroom are on the second floor; Bedroom 5 is great for children or friends sharing as it has 3 single beds; Bedroom 6 can be a super king or twin room and has room for 1 extra bed*.
Annexe
The self-contained adjoining annexe is great for elderly grandparents or for a family who prefer their own space. It has an open plan living space with a snug, dining area and kitchen, Bedroom 7, which has a king size bed and an ensuite shower room, and Bedroom 8 with bunk beds.
Garden
The house has a wrap-around patio and lawns to laze on, to picnic, or play croquet. Tucked away by the orangery is the cedar-clad hot tub and just outside the annexe there’s an enclosed patio. The gardens are gorgeously lush and leafy; in the azalea garden is the barrel sauna, dip tank and cold water showers. There’s a woodland trail, a meadow and viewing platform, a tennis court, a pizza oven and firepits.
