Step in through the door to the huge open plan living and entertaining space; to one end there’s a well-equipped kitchen, black and white, slick and modern. The open plan design means that whoever’s doing the cooking won’t be left out of the fun – this is one big sociable space. A chunky dining table sets the scene for celebration feasts, and at the far end of the room there’s a big U-shape sofa where you can all snuggle up for a family movie night, lights dimmed, big bowls of popcorn to share. Natural light pours into this room through 4 sets of French doors along one side; in the warmer weather open them wide, bring the sunshine in to add to the holiday vibe.
Right of the main entrance door are Bedrooms 1-3, all sleeping 2 and all with ensuite shower rooms. The beds at Foxcombe are all zip and link so you can have them arranged as super kings or twins; just select your configurations after you’ve made your booking and leave it to us.
Upstairs there’s a part mezzanine games area where you can play table football. Continue left to Bedrooms 4 and 5, both with ensuite bathrooms – Bedroom 4 has a handheld shower and Bedroom 5 an overhead shower. Bedroom 4 makes a brilliant room for a family or for a group of teenagers sharing as it can sleep 4, with a choice of 2 super king beds, a super king and 2 singles, or 4 singles. Right of the games area is Bedroom 6 which has an ensuite shower room.
Outside there’s a large patio with a barbecue and outdoor seating so you can enjoy leisurely alfresco lunches; leave the sausages sizzling, go and watch the kids having a whale of a time in the play area and bouncing on the trampoline. The icing on the cake at Foxcombe is your very own indoor pool right opposite the main living area of the lodge.
