Downstairs
Main Barn (sleeps 20): On the ground level there’s a utility/laundry room, Bedrooms 1-4, the second kitchen and the second living room with doors out to a huge glass fronted balcony. Spiral staircases take you up to the top floor and down to the lower ground level where there’s a ginormous open plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table seating up to 34, and plenty of sofas and chairs to sit comfy. Full height doors open onto the terrace, to one end there’s a bar, to the other a back kitchen; off the dining area there’s a WC and access friendly Bedroom 10.
Barn 1 (sleeps 6): This barn, all at ground floor level, is where you’ll find Bedrooms 11-13 and an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining table, comfy seating and French doors opening to the garden.
Barn 2 (sleeps 6): Just a few steps across the courtyard from the main barn, this has an open plan living/dining/kitchen room with doors to the private garden. To one end is Bedroom 14, at the other, steps lead to Bedrooms 15 and 16.
Upstairs
Main Barn: One end of the house are Bedrooms 5-7, the other are Bedrooms 8 and 9, accessed by 2 spiral staircases. What’s great about Brix Barn is that all the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms and wardrobe space, and there’s underfloor heating throughout. Outside
The barns are stride apart in a courtyard setting; the main barn has a huge glass fronted balcony with outdoor seating and staggering views across the valley – great for coffee in the morning and drinks at sunset. Off the lower ground floor there’s a terrace and a private garden for barbecues in the sunshine, and a level path giving access to Bedroom 10. The smaller barns each have their own private garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
A few strides down the drive is the play field and games room with table tennis and table football. Follow the path around the courtyard to the pool where there are more of those spectacular views. On the doorstep are the fields and woodlands of the estate, all yours to wander.
