Downstairs
Just look what awaits you at Avelaine – such space, such luxury, and everything you could possibly need for an amazing group holiday in the UK. The wow factor kicks off as soon as you step inside the wide hallway; it’s all bespoke here, including the staircase that sweeps elegantly off to each side.
Wander through to the well-equipped kitchen on the left, open plan to the orangery dining/living room where full height doors open onto the garden. Explore right of the hall and you’ll find the dining room, a great home office for the perfect workation, the games room, and at the end, an opulent drawing room that opens onto an enormous roof terrace with the loveliest views across the grounds to the river.
If you can save the best ‘til last, just before the drawing room steps take you down to the steam room and the spa hall where to one end there’s a hot tub, and centre place is the pool. All yours and only yours for the whole of your stay.
Upstairs
On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-7; Bedrooms 4 and 5 share a bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower, Bedroom 1 has a dressing area and an ensuite bathroom, the rest have their own shower rooms. Pick Bedrooms 1-3 and you also get a private balcony, 1 and 2, with wonderful river views. On the second floor is Bedroom 8, with 2 dressing rooms, and an ensuite bathroom.
Outside
The gardens at Avelaine are a joy – so big, and so much fun to explore. Follow the paths that wind around, relax by the fountain, gather together for a BBQ feast, cooked on the outdoor BBQ island, or in the cosiness of the Scandinavian grill hut. Love that vibe of coast and country, the fresh river air; this is where wonderful memories are waiting to be made.
