Part of The Wiltshire Estate on the Wiltshire/Somerset border, Zippity was once a dairy and the pig pens on a busy working farm but now it’s been lovingly transformed to provide luxury group accommodation for 12 in 6 ensuite bedrooms with room for 4 more guests at an extra charge each. There’s a heated pool, outdoor cinema, a stunning roof terrace and a games room; this is a house for happy sociable holidays and celebrations!
Go in through the gate in the garden wall and across the garden to step into an enormous open plan living/entertaining space where the wow factor is more than evident. Light floods in through an entire glass wall with doors onto the garden; at one end there’s a snug area with soft seating and a TV, in the middle there’s a chunky dining table and to the other end, a gorgeous dusky pink kitchen with all you need to create a mammoth feast for your group. Go through to the capacious games room where you can chill out and play pool, table tennis and table football, and watch a whole wall of TVs – an immersive experience. Throughout Zippity you can see the centuries old features that have been retained; the thick stone walls and soaring roof trusses work so well with eclectic interiors; it’s a seriously cool place to hang out!
Off the living/entertaining space there’s a boot room with laundry facilities and a WC. Off the snug area are Bedrooms 1 and 2, both sleeping 2 with room for an extra guest bed, both having an ensuite shower room. All beds at Zippity are zip and link so can be super kings or twins.
Bedroom 3 and 4 are either side of the games room, both accommodating an extra guest bed and both having ensuite shower rooms. Off the kitchen a small lobby leads to Bedrooms 5 and 6, also with ensuite shower rooms.
The colourful upbeat vibe continues in the walled garden with pots and planting. There’s a green area and to one side, an awesome 8m heated pool for year-round use. Watch TV from the pool or pull the cover across and that whole side of the garden becomes an outdoor cinema; the end wall allows for big screen projection so you can comfy up on the loungers and beanbags and enjoy cinema beneath the stars.
Steps lead up to the glass fronted roof terrace where there’s outdoor seating, a barbecue and pizza oven. This is an amazing place to be on a hot summer's day, but best of all is when the sun sets over the fields of the Estate; dark comes in and you feel closer to the stars. Got to love that ambience.
Zippity is within a private 20 acre Estate; there are other properties on the estate undergoing renovation for letting with Group Stays so it is likely that you will hear building works being undertaken during your stay. This will be kept to a minimum and there will be no works at weekends unless absolutely necessary. During the week the builders finish at 5pm Mon-Thurs and at 4pm on Fri.
