Tucked away in a small hamlet on the Somerset Levels, Willowhayes is a great place to stay for big happy family holidays and celebrations, for catching up with friends and their families, and for private spa weekends. With an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room, plus a games room and play area this is a holiday house for all ages and all seasons.
From the parking area a gate takes you into the paved front courtyard where you can slip into the hot tub for a soak while your steaks are sizzling on the barbecue; enjoy a leisurely lunch in the sunshine, reconnecting, smiles all round. Go through the front door into the house and on the left is the dining room where a big table sets the scene for celebration dinners; around the corner is the kitchen, well-equipped for holiday catering or if you hire them to make that special birthday or anniversary extra special, for private chefs to work. A stable door leads out to the front courtyard, leave the top part open on warm days for fresh air and bird song to drift in.
Left of the hall is the living room; come back from a wintry walk along the river and cosy up for hot buttery toast by the woodburner; get snuggled on the sofas for a family movie night, pass the popcorn round. On from the living room are Bedrooms 5 and 6 and a shared shower room; all the beds at Willowhayes are zip and link so can be set up super kings or twins. Bedroom 5 sleeps 2, Bedroom 6 has an optional extra guest bed. A porch opens to an enclosed walled garden with a play area.
Upstairs to the right are Bedrooms 1 and 2, both with ensuite shower rooms, and a family bathroom, and to the left, Bedrooms 3 and 4. Bedroom 4 is another room that can accommodate an optional extra guest bed. Bedrooms have a fresh and restful ambience with vaulted, wooden-clad ceilings adding to the light and airy feel.
The games room is accessed from the front courtyard and is a large light filled room with a pool table, table football, soft seating and a big TV. A door leads through to the spa hall, and wow, what luxury! On the right is the steam room, then the pool takes centre stage, and doors open to a raised terrace where there’s a barrel sauna; book mobile therapists to come and pamper you, all in the luxury of your large group holiday home. You won’t need to worry what the weather’s doing when you stay at Willowhayes because there’s so much to keep you happy here; it's a great place to stay!
