9/10 - Nice House - Curtis - October 26
10/10 - Property was well equipped and immaculately clean. We were greeted by the owners on arrival who showed us how everything worked. We were a large party of 7 adults, 4 children from 2-11 years old and 3 dogs! The children loved the trampoline and games room and the older ones enjoyed the hot tub. They also had fun flying kites on the field. We were blessed with good weather and had a lovely week away - Walmsley - August 26
10/10 - We loved our stay at Whispering Thatch. We were a group of 12 ladies in our 50s and the house was perfect. Spacious and clean with plenty of room for everyone. The owner brought everything we asked for and was super helpful. There was a party in the neighbouring property but we hardly heard them at all. The gardens are lovely and we were lucky to be able to eat on outside for 2 evenings with the garden tables under the willow tree. A very special weekend for us in a lovely house. Would highly recommend. - Hyde - July 26
10/10 - This house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for a chilled weekend away with family and friends. We will be back! - Heller - May 26
10/10 - Very much enjoyed our family get-together at Whispering Thatch. The cottage is amazingly spacious and easily accommodated 12 of us. The large dining table was a fabulous focal point for eating together and enjoying family banter. Despite the rather chilly temperatures, many of our party made good use of the hot-tub. The annex gave extra cooking facilities when the kitchen Aga was in full use and also had an extra fridge. The pantry provided a good, cool storage area. - Hough - Mar 26
10/10 - Our stay was just wonderful. Philippa and the team were so welcoming. Philippa talked us through everything on arrival and even recommended some walks. The house was beautifully clean and comfortable. With everything we needed. Perfect home from home stay. - Darby - Feb 26
9/10 - This is a gorgeous old house in a lovely peaceful setting. It catered for all our needs (14 people and a big dog). The house is well equipped with comfy beds. Philippa was very quick to respond to any issues and kindly took in our food delivery after our car broke down. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hot tub and games room were both well used. Sidmouth Arms was great for a family meal. We enjoyed: Walk to Dumpdon Fort; Donkey Sanctuary; Fossil Hunting at Charnmouth; Becky Falls and Otterton Mill - Linda Angus - Sept 25
10/10 - Really appreciate the warm welcome from Pippa on arrival and the kind gesture of the wedding gift. We loved every minute of it thank you. Great place for hosting family get togethers. Kitchen and dining room were very spacious and snooker table was an extra bonus. - Pope - July 25
8/10 - Location was lovely and peaceful, nice evenings in the hot tub and BBQ's. - Elliott - July 25
8/10 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, particularly the hot tub. Whispering Thatch was clean with everything we needed for our stay and the host very welcoming. We did think there was a lack of basic supplies ie more bin bags, toilet rolls and shower gel would have been a welcome touch - Riggs - June 25
910 - We really loved everything about this house. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. - Henshall - May 25
9/10 - The house was very welcoming, homely and comfortable. It had everything you need for an enjoyable self catering stay. I bought my own ice maker which was very useful as the weather was lovely all week. The only thing we found slightly underwhelming was the outdoor loungers by the hot tub. They were very uncomfortable and not easy to get down in to. They were very close to the ground. Other than that we had the perfect week. - Murray - May 25
9/10 - House was really well equipped. Loved the kitchen and especially the aga.Would have liked some better outside furniture as the benches weren't very comfortable. Having said that, the garden was brilliant for the children who spent most of their time playing football. And of course the hot tub was great. - Sharratt - April 25
9/10 - The house was beautiful and owner extremely helpful. We did wonder whether we might struggle with the aga- but that was fine. There were a couple of flickering lightbulbs - but they were replaced quickly and the 'handyman' was really polite and as helpful as the owner. Our only MINOR complaint was the hot tub took an age to come up to temperature so we only really had the use of it towards the end of the second day. Apart from that - an AMAZING house, beautifully presented and extremely well facilitated by the owner and her team - THANK YOU!!! - Barry - Jan 25
10/10 - 10/10 all around. Would definitely come again :) - Olubodun - Dec 24
10/10 - Lovely welcome by the owner. Spotlessly clean. - Roylance - Nov 24
9/10 - Beautiful property, plenty of space and boys loved the football pitch. Immediate response from owner/ staff if there was a query/problem. - Summerhayes - Oct 24
8/10 - We would have really appreciated a bigger kitchen bin, a container to collect recyclables in in the kitchen, better washing up kit, and wipeable place mats.We loved the trampoline, the games room and the hot tub.The house was great, the outdoor space was good, the beds were comfortable - we had a fab week. - Rylands Sept 24
10/10 - Whispering Thatch never disappoints, Philippa and Roger present the properties incredibly well and your holiday begins as you walk through the door. It is warm, very clean and very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, we enjoyed lots of fun playing cricket and rounders with a huge amount of space. Stonehayes is surrounded by the most scenic rolling hills of Devon countryside, and the bird song is amazing. We have just returned home having thoroughly enjoyed a family celebration and I wish Philippa and her team much success as they embark on offering another large property to sleep bigger numbers to make special memories for family and friends to enjoy. - Bennett - May 24
9/10 - Loved the lots of space, inside and out, - Whitrod - April 24
