Beautiful days await you when you spend your large group holidays at Tides Reach; perched above the sea wall, overlooking the Severn estuary at Portishead, this house has such a wonderful laid-back vibe, so relaxation comes easy. Put your feet up, watch ships passing by, gulls in flight, the tides racing in to the garden wall and back out again. Whether you come for a family holiday, a special celebration, or a weekend away with friends, you’ll know you’ve chosen the perfect group accommodation as soon as you step inside.

Tides Reach may look like it’s stood here for at least a century, but in fact, it was built quite recently, so it’s got all the modern comforts like underfloor heating and air con, and it’s access friendly, with a lift to all levels and level shower rooms. Step inside the hall and put your bags down; to the left is the TV room and the lift, to the right there’s a cloakroom, and next to it, the dining room. Straight ahead, the large kitchen/living room runs the entire length of the house. The kitchen is one end of the room, the living area is the other, and in the middle, there are floor to ceiling windows and doors that open onto a balcony. The views from the back of the house are fantastic, flung out over the estuary as far as the Welsh Mountains. Interiors are a gorgeously eclectic mix of vintage, mid-century, contemporary and traditional; it’s quirky and so in keeping with this unique house.

On the lower/garden level there’s a large games room with table football and air hockey, Bedroom 7, with an ensuite wet room, and a utility room with laundry facilities. Upstairs on the first floor are Bedrooms 4-6, all with balconies, and a family bathroom. Bedroom 4 has an ensuite shower room, Bedroom 5 is a large access friendly room with a seating area and a huge ensuite bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate wet area. This room can link through to Bedroom 6 to make a large family suite, or Bedroom 6 can use the adjacent family bathroom, which has a bath with an overhead shower. On the second floor are Bedrooms 1-3; Bedrooms 1 and 2 have ensuite shower rooms and Bedroom 3 has an ensuite bathroom.

The garden is to the side and back of the house, edged by the sea wall. There’s a veranda at the back of the house, leading onto a lawn with a dog fence, and at the side there’s a pretty coastal themed garden. This is such a quiet spot, and in the summer, when the weather’s good, it’s lovely having a leisurely barbecue out here. Slip into the hot tub, the estuary before you; at sunset enjoy a cocktail and watch those glorious colours spread across the sky. That’s just what large group holidays are all about, those priceless moments with the people you love most in the world. Tides Reach is magical; book today!
