Step into a commodious reception hall, with the kitchen/breakfast room off to the right. This huge and sociable space is well-equipped and well designed, with a table and chairs to one end, soft seating and a TV at the other, and in between, plenty of room for preparing and cooking those special celebration dinners, or for private caterers to work. Off this a utility room leads to an inner hall, a laundry room and the front garden. The other end of the room there are lockable doors to a rear hallway and the garden. Right of the kitchen is the indoor infinity pool with a ‘shark wall’ and a door to the changing room, leading on to the steam room.
Straight ahead in the reception hall is the lounge, with opulent velvety sofas, an open fire, a big TV, and doors onto the terrace. To the left is the dining room where a long antique style table sets the scene for birthday and anniversary feasts. Next door is the gym with a cross trainer, rowing machine and exercise bike, and next again, a downstairs cloakroom. Immediately left of the reception hall a wide staircase rises to a galleried landing and to Bedrooms 1-4, all with king size beds and up-to-the-minute ensuite facilities. Bedroom 1 has its own dressing area and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and double walk-in shower; Bedrooms 2-4 all have ensuite shower rooms. Tucked away in the corner of the landing the back staircase goes down to the kitchen or up to the top floor.
On the top floor there’s a games room, Bedrooms 5-7, and a shower room. Bedroom 5 has a king size bed, Bedroom 6 is a twin room, and Bedroom 7 has zip and link beds (super king or twin) and a single.
At the back of the house a huge decked terrace runs the length of the house; this is a great spot for alfresco entertaining – there’s plenty of garden furniture, an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ, fridges and a drinks cooler, patio heaters and a heated canopy. To one side there’s a hot tub and an outdoor heated infinity pool. The terrace leads on to the lawn where there’s play equipment, a sunken trampoline and a quiet seating area.
