Boon Barn is a humongous holiday house on a small estate in Wiltshire that sleeps 20 in 10 ensuite bedrooms and has room for up to 10 more guests at an extra charge each. If you want group accommodation with something to keep everyone smiling, this is it; no one is going to get bored here because there’s plenty to keep all ages entertained, which is why it’s such a brilliant choice for multi-generational family holidays and joy filled celebrations.
From the outside the feel is contemporary; old farm buildings totally transformed, timber clad, lots of full height glass. It’s impressive, but step into the jumbo open-plan living space and WOW! Hefty rafters soar to the roof, exposed brickwork echoes the house’s rustic past. light streams in through the floor to ceiling windows. The games areas have a pool table, table tennis and table football and lead onto the lounge area where the feels are just SO relaxed with big fat sofas enticing you to put your feet up; this is an amazing space to gather and chat, to play and watch movies. Interiors at Boon Barn are bright and bold, an eclectic blend of on trend furnishings, a bit of mid-century, big splashes of colour and vintage style accessories, and it all works so well.
Off the living space are Bedrooms 1-3, all with ensuite shower rooms and like all the bedrooms at Boon Barn, all with zip and link beds (see Floorplans/Rooms). Step down to the kitchen/dining room where to one end is a swish and trendy kitchen with all you need to take the stress out of catering for your large group. There’s a long dining table with mirror balls above – just perfect for those family celebrations! Hire private caterers to cook you up an extra special feast, make it one to remember. Off this area are Bedroom 4-7, all with ensuite shower rooms and with 4 and 5 both having room for an extra guest bed (charged).
From here stairs lead to Bedrooms 8 and 9, again with ensuite shower rooms and space for an extra guest bed. Upstairs from the open plan living/games room is Bedroom 10 (The Dorm) with an ensuite bathroom and a separate shower room. This room sleeps 2 in a double bed and can also accommodate up to 8 extra guest beds. Also on this floor is a wide mezzanine with gorgeous views over the countryside; doors open onto a stunning roof terrace, great for a drink at sunset.
Outside the kitchen/dining room there’s a lawned courtyard, right opposite is the spa hall with a 10m x 5m pool, a hot tub and sauna. The entire end wall is glass so the light cascades in, ramping up that happy holiday vibe. From the courtyard steps lead up to the patio where there's a barbecue island with seating, perfect for lazy days in the sunshine. *Note that if you book The Dorm you can only book extra beds in two of the other bedrooms (4,5,8 or 9) to make a total of 10 extra guests, and a maximum group size at Boon Barn of 30 people.
Boon Barn is within a private 20 acre Estate; there are other properties on the estate undergoing renovation for letting with Group Stays so it is likely that you will hear/see building works being undertaken during your stay, though this will be kept to a minimum. During the week the builders finish at 5pm Mon-Thurs and at 4pm on Fri; there will be no works at weekends unless absolutely necessary.
