Each bedroom has its own access from outside so you’ll all have your own space as well as plenty of room to gather together. Pootle down the lane and pull up in the parking area; go through the gates into the private courtyard, with a raised pond in the middle and around it, several seating areas. To one side there’s a smaller courtyard with the two hot tubs; just imagine - a luxurious daytime soak with cotton wool clouds lazily drifting by overhead, and the stars above you at night.
Step in through the porch to the enormous open-plan living/entertaining room; chunky timbers soar to the rafters, to one end there’s a well-equipped kitchen and bar, in the middle a long dining table seats you all, and at the other end of this vast space, sofas invite you to put your feet up. If you’re celebrating something special dress the room and hire private caterers to come in and cook you a fantastic feast. There’s more comfy seating in the adjoining conservatory, light and airy by day and in the evening, a great place to cosy up and watch a movie or catch that all-important match on the whopping 88” screen.
Get on your glad rags and head down the stairs to the soundproofed music cellar; this is your very own private nightclub! Have drinks at the bar then hit the floor and shake your tailfeathers. There’s a digital jukebox, sound system, laser lights and a smoke machine, and even a stage. Pick a theme and go for it – disco style, the 1980’s revisited, rock ‘n’ roll… make it a night to remember.
When the night is done, tiptoe off to the Land of Nod to snooze till morning. Bedrooms 1-8 are on either side of the courtyard and have king size beds, Bedrooms 9-13 are behind the main house and are twin rooms. All rooms have underfloor heating and a 55” Smart TV, Bedrooms 1-13 have snazzy and spacious ensuite shower rooms, except for Bedroom 13 which has a bathroom with a free-standing bath and a separate shower.
The retro-style games room is in a separate building at the side of the courtyard; it has table football, air hockey, a pinball machine and arcade games, comfy seating and a drinks fridge, so it’s a fab place to hang out whatever the weather’s doing.
