8/10 - A great large property for our extended family with all the toys especially the large indoor pool. The bedrooms were excellent with comfy beds. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Located close to town with an easy walk in. Top tip, use the pool shower if the hot water runs out in bathrooms in the main house. - MacGregor - July 26

10/10 - We loved it so much, we will be returning! We met for a family reunion and we all had an amazing time. There really is something for everyone here, from games to the swimming pool and hot tub. 10/10 - A beautiful place to stay, perfect for a group of friends wanting twin beds and ensuite bathrooms in each room. Lots of space and well equipped. The swimming pool was a brilliant addition - we enjoyed an enthusiastic (but incompetent!) water aerobics session each morning, followed by relaxing in the hot tub.- Ellis - Mar 6

9/10 - Beautiful, large and well-equipped barn with a welcoming host.Bedrooms were comfortable, with bathrooms well supplied with shower gel etc, something not always found in holiday lets. The living areas were huge and we managed to use all of them! A few people used the pool but not the hot tub, with less than inviting weather. - Elliott - Mar 26

10/10 - What a lovely week we had together, the house was wonderful. We had plenty space for the children to play and the swimming pool was such fun. As we are unable to all get together at Christmas as a family we celebrated it early in our own way. - Price - Nov 25

9/10 -We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the barn for an 80th birthday and a family get together. Family members ranged from kids to pensioners with limited mobility plus a very energetic spaniel - I’m pleased to say that the barn catered for all their needs wonderfully! The facilities and space here are excellent - there is something for everyone! Sue deserves a big thank you - she was amazing throughout the stay and nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 - Really cannot fault Blushing Barn having spent an extremely enjoyable 7 day stay 1 -8 August 2025 whole family get together (4 generations) 18 months thru to 78. Well equipped and comfortable throughout. Well looked after by Ann assisted by Sue. Hopefully able to make a return visit. - Alexander - Aug 25

8/10 - Family meals around the table and family time in the pool. It was also lovely to be able to give our couple with the two babies a bit of quiet time in the pool and hot tub. The teenagers also loved evening chats in the hot tub and many games of pool were played. We all loved the house. - Adams - Aug 25 

9/10 - The welcome by Sue and Ann was lovely and they clearly wanted the best experience for us all. Swimming Pool was great and enjoyed by youngest to the oldest. Garden was great for 'soft ball' family cricket and made for a lovely end of the day activity. Lots of space in the house for 7 adults and 7 children. Great place for walking the dog straight out the garden into walkable paths and fields. A very well planned Barn conversion and retaining the old stone structure meant it was nicely cool on hot days. Plenty of space for people to spread out, which worked best when making your own entertainment as TV signal and Wi-fi wasn't reliable - probably beyond the owners control? Only reason for not giving a 10 was that the sofas were pretty tired and not easy easy for the 70+ to find a comfy chair! Little areas of maintenance required but obviously comes for being well used. 8/10 - Beautiful barn , very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. However the noisy fan in bathroom triggered by light was disturbing at night. Well kitted kitchen but one of the dishwashers did not work which was inconvenient as we were a group of 12 self catering. On the first day the dishwasher seem to work and then stopped. Swimming pool and the hot tub were stunning. - Kadri - June 25

8/10 - Water in the large indoor swimming pool was checked daily. The manager was always available for any queries and very supportive. The property was very spacious, several seating areas, but it was a little 'tired'. - Porter- June 25

 

10/10 - The property exceeded expectations. Very spacious and well equipped throughout, from kitchen utensils to bathroom/ bedroom facilities. The pool was bigger than expected, and the hot tub was very luxurious. Sue is an excellent hostess, very attentive and added a trip to the farm for the children. Only complaint, wish we could have stayed longer, THANK YOU for a very special break. - Goodall - May 25

10/10 - A beautiful, spacious barn, brilliant for large families/groups. Arriving to cupcakes for us was lovely. The indoor pool/ hot tub and pool table were a big hit. Will definitely be using Sleeps12 again. Thank you. - Reeves - Apr 25

9/10 - All members of the family absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the games room. Were kept happy for hours on end. The whole property was very spacious and light. The massive flat screen tv was just right for us as a family. The personal welcoming cup cakes were very much appreciated. As my husband is wheelchair bound what could be improved is the surface of the ground surrounding the property. Paving stones in places, instead of all gravel would have made moving him a lot easier and far more manageable for us. He loves gardens and the shrubs and raised beds were in need of some attention, being rather overgrown. This is the reason we have scored the property 9/10 instead of 10/10. 10/10 - The place was amazing all my kids ,grandkids love it ,spent lots a time in swimming pool ,we all loved we had our own on suites, loved all the seating in the rooms ,pool table was great everyone joined in ,the kitchen had everything you can think of for cooking food ,plenty of glasses, only thing was my husband like a coffee and brandy, which he said could do with a few small coffee cups ,other than that it was a perfect place to stay with all the family,everyone just loved it, I definitely recommend this place and Sue was so helpful and friendly,she took the kids to see all the animals to feed them and ten minutes up the road was McDonald,KFC a garage where you can get food hot pies, lovely big Italian subs choose your own feelings hot or cold cakes etc, we will be going back for another stay, we go away a lot this is the best one yet ,thank you for our stay. - Alley - Jan 25

 

10/10 - The pictures don't really do the grounds justice. Lively rural location, with no traffic sounds. We were a mixed-generation party ...but lots to do...walking the dog. Swimming, jacuzzi, playing games in garden etc and enjoying great weather and all the house had to offer. Lots of areas to watch TV so guys could watch football and girls could watch watch their bits.... - Suttle - Sept 24

10/10 - It was really nice that there wasn't a best room in particular as they were all very clean, and very luxurious. There was literally everything that you could possibly need, so no need to take your own basics or anything. It was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches. - Jackson - July 24

10/10 - Fabulous welcome to the Barn by Ann & Sue, who were waiting to greet us with friendly smiles and even helped us to unpack our food & drink! Delicious homemade cupcakes too! Everything about the spotlessly clean Barn was superb, from a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful comfortable bedrooms and spacious living areas, to the fabulous indoor swimming pool, hot tub and lovely outdoor space. As 12 ladies celebrating special birthdays, we loved every minute of our stay and will most definitely be returning. - Hendy - March 24
