Leave the quiet Somerset lanes and pootle up the drive to Ridgeview where horses graze in fields backed by softly rolling hills. Park in the courtyard, then step inside your luxury large group holiday house to the hall with stairs straight ahead and a cloakroom on the left.
On the right a corridor leads to Bedrooms 1 and 2 and to doors that open onto the pool terrace. These bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and like all the bedrooms at Ridgeview, zip and link beds (super king or twin).
Left of the hall is the movie room with a sumptuous U-shaped sofa; there’s underfloor heating throughout at Ridgeview, with individual room control, but when it’s cold, light the woodburner, get proper cosy.
Straight on from the hall there’s a utility room on the right with laundry facilities. Next to this is Bedroom 3, with an ensuite bathroom and separate WC; the bathroom has a striking copper bath and separate shower.
Opposite the utility room the well-equipped kitchen has full height doors opening onto the rear terrace; a large central island means you can prep and cook without missing out on the chit-chat; hire private caterers to create a feast for a family celebration and they won’t be short of space.
Next is the dining room with floor to ceiling windows, a long table to seat all, and a woodburner. Step up to the inner hallway and second staircase; to the right is Bedroom 4 with an ensuite shower room, straight ahead there’s an optional extra bedroom to sleep 2 children under 16 (extra charge). On the left is the living room with big velvety sofas and French doors that open onto the front and side terraces.

Upstairs, Bedroom 5 has an ensuite bathroom with a copper bath and separate shower; Bedrooms 6 and 7 have luxurious shower rooms just opposite; in the middle of the landing there’s a seating area, and down the end is Bedroom 8 with an ensuite shower room.
Just across the courtyard the games room has a pool table, table football and a big TV. At the back of the house on the south facing pool terrace is the heated pool and a hot tub in a Tiki style breeze hut. Stroll down across the lawns to the pond and enjoy the tranquillity; listen to the birdsong, watch dragonflies tango. The terrace at the front of the house is covered with a huge canvas roof, giving you a Bedouin style outdoor room with festoon lights.
