Chic and contemporary, Goldway stands in a 1 acre private plot off a quiet lane in the village of Charlton Kings, only 10 minutes from the centre of Cheltenham. It’s a very special place to stay for any large group holiday or short break, with style and substance and heaps of room. Splash about in the pool, wallow in the hot tub, play pool and ping-pong, lounge on the sofas, skip around the garden. Beyond the hedge, there’s lots to see and do if you can tear yourself away.
Downstairs
Step into a wide reception hall and wander through the house; there’s a spacious sitting room decked out with sumptuous sofas, a swanky kitchen/breakfast room with a whopper of a central island, a striking dining room with a hot pink wall to one side, and a games room/TV room for seriously cool downtime. Go through to the pool room, all yours and only yours for the whole of your stay, beyond, even the ping-pong has its own room. Throughout the house bifold doors pull back bringing the outside in, beefing up the holiday vibe. Also on the ground floor are Bedrooms 8 and 9 sleeping 7 between them.
Upstairs
Pad along the landing to Bedroom 1, sleeping 3 and having the bonus of a balcony overlooking the garden, and to Bedrooms 2, 3, 4 and 7, which are all twin-bedded rooms. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 4 have ensuite bathrooms with a bath and a walk-in shower, Bedrooms 3 and 7 share a bathroom. Reached via stairs from the games room/TV room are Bedroom 5, sleeping 2, Bedroom 6, sleeping 4, and a shared bathroom. These sleeping arrangements work well for friends sharing, and for families with younger children.
Garden
The garden at Goldway is a dream; 1 acre in size, fenced and secure, with trees and leafy hedges, clipped box and lots of flowers. The immense lawns are dotted with seating areas, there are picnic benches and, on the terrace, a long table and BBQ for outdoor dining. Kids will love the footie goals, you’ll all love the hot tub; slip in, sit back, watch the cotton wool clouds drift by, soak in the evenings beneath the stars.
Enjoy Goldway your way, make memories to take home and shout about, come and stay again someday.
