Go in through the courtyard where there’s a play fort for the little ones. Step into a glazed lobby and straight ahead is the enormous open plan living space, the perfect place to gather together, with soft seating to one end, a fully equipped kitchen to the other, and in between, a huge dining table to seat you all. This vast living space has full height windows so the rolling countryside is always in your sights; step out onto the big glass fronted balcony and it’s even better. Have a barbecue, make stone baked pizzas, enjoy a drink as the sun sets over the hills.
Stairs (or the stairlift) lead down to the lower ground floor and the games room - a seriously cool place to hang out, with a pool table, table football, air hockey and table tennis. Next door is the living room/movie room with big screen projection; cosy up on the sofas, grab the popcorn! Left of the entrance lobby are Bedrooms 1-5; Bedroom 1 is access friendly, can sleep up to 3 and has an ensuite wet room. Bedroom 2 can sleep 5 and has a shower room; Bedroom 3 can also sleep 5 and has a bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower. Upstairs is Bedroom 4, which can sleep 4, and Bedroom 5, which can sleep 3; both have ensuite shower rooms. Continue round to a large utility area with a fridge freezer, dishwasher and laundry facilities. This is perfect for prepping for big dinners, or it gives caterers extra room to work. Further along is Bedroom 6, sleeping 2 with an ensuite shower room.
Then there’s the spa hall, all yours for the whole of your stay. Centre place is a heated pool with a water volcano, to one end there’s a large sauna and a sunken hot tub; up above centuries old pegged elm beams merge perfectly with the contemporary design.
