You'll love everything about Beyond The Woods… the drive through the leafy Somerset lanes, the secluded location, the fantastic facilities and the gorgeous garden. This is one of a kind large group accommodation that’s hard to beat for family holidays and celebrations.
Walk into the wide hallway where on the right is a handcrafted oak staircase; to the left a ramp leads to the living room which curves around one side of the house and continues through to the dining area. Light streams in through full height windows, doors open onto the terrace, there are sumptuous sofas to sit comfy, an open fire, and down at the end, a long dining table for those cheery celebration feasts. Go through to the kitchen, also accessed from the hall; it’s big and well-equipped and is the perfect spot to watch birds feeding in the garden.
Next is the snug, which makes a good playroom for younger children, or somewhere for them to watch television before breakfast. Also off the hall is a cloakroom and a utility room which leads on to an outdoor covered area; at the end of the house is Bedroom 1 with an ensuite wet room and zip and link beds (super king or twin) plus an additional single and room for another, so what a great room for a family! Note that the ground floor of Beyond The Woods is access friendly throughout.
Upstairs are Bedrooms 2-6, all with zip and link beds (super king or twin). Bedroom 2 has an ensuite shower room and can accommodate 2 extra guest beds at an additional charge each - these are great for children. Floor to ceiling windows give spectacular views of the Somerset countryside, rolling on for miles. Bedroom 3 has use of the main bathroom just across the landing, which has a bath and separate shower. Bedrooms 4-6 all have ensuite shower rooms.
The landscaped gardens are wonderful, with several seating areas dotted about, and paths that gently meander around; it’s a garden that’s full of surprises, children will love the covered games area, the trampoline and the play area where there’s a roundabout and a play fort. Just across the lawn is the spa hall, with a lockable door for peace of mind if you have little ones in your group. You’ll have a wonderful time out there together; huge windows give views of the garden, there's a long L-shaped pool, a sunken hot tub, sauna, changing rooms, showers and a WC.
On the terrace just outside the house is a handcrafted ‘Giant's Table’ where you can dine alfresco and feel close to nature. Venture around the farmland exploring, take a picnic to the woods, make camps, play on the log swings, enjoy the Stamp Box challenge. Keep very, very quiet and you might even spot deer feeding in the fields; Beyond The Woods is rather magical - think timeless and idyllic country holidays, but with mod cons. It’s perfect in every way!
