Whimbrels Barton sleeps 16 guests in 3 separate and super-stylish adjoining cottages:
Bean Goose Barn
4 bedrooms – 2 x bathrooms - kitchen/dining room – open plan sitting room – bathroom – secure garden – patio with BBQ (Easter to end October) – large wood fired hot tub (wood provided) – parking for 4 vehicles.
Back in the day, Bean Goose Barn was the stables and haybarn on a busy working farm, but times change and a few years back it was sympathetically transformed into a well equipped holiday cottage that sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. At the front of the house there’s an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture, a barbecue, and a private covered hot tub.
Walk in to the kitchen/dining room which has Shaker style units and a table and chairs for 8. Off the far end is Bedroom 4, to the right of the kitchen is Bedroom 3 and right next to it, a shower room. A kooky industrial style staircase leads to the open plan sitting room with inviting sofas, a TV and wood-burner; a door opens to the parking area and steps leading down to the 2 adjoining units. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are to either end of the sitting room and there is a bathroom on this floor with an overhead shower. Bean Goose Barn is light and airy throughout with a very relaxing ambience and modern interiors.
2 x electric ovens - 4 ring hob - fridge-freezer - dishwasher – TV – wood-burner (logs supplied) – wifi - 1 x dog by prior arrangement (£50 charge).
2 bedrooms – shower room – open plan living space with kitchen/dining area and lounge – garden - patio – garden furniture – BBQ - outdoor bath - parking for 2 cars.
Curlews Halt is a self contained unit with its own parking area and garden. There’s snooze space for 4 in two bedrooms with accommodation set out over two floors. Step into the hallway where off to each side are the Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has zip and link beds that can be arranged as a superking or twins, Bedroom 2 has twin beds that can also be set up as a super king (see Rooms). Also off the hall is a shared shower room.
Upstairs is the open plan living space; to one end there’s a kitchen-diner, to the other a cosy lounge area; the whole is light and airy with a very Scandinavian ‘hygge’ feel; light the wood-burner on colder days, feel the love. In the garden just outside the house is a patio with outdoor furniture and a wood fired barbecue, along with a quirky take on a hot tub – an outdoor bath; stretch out and relax, drink in hand. Just across the drive that’s shared with Snipes Rest is a further lawned garden.
