From village pub to supersize group accommodation near Bath! The Plough sleeps 27 in 11 ensuite bedrooms and has room for 2 more guests at an extra charge each. The feels are fresh and upbeat with on-trend interiors that look good against the backdrop of centuries old features – Bath stone walls, thick oak beams and warm wood flooring.

Step in through the door at the back of the house and to the right is the games room and private bar – the hub of the pub! This is such a sociable space, with a pool table, soft seating by the woodburner, and the original bar. A door opens to an attractive paved courtyard that faces onto the lane.

Next is the living/dining room, a commodious space with one side dedicated to sitting comfy and the other taken up with the dining tables. If you’re here for a family celebration you can just imagine it – have a feast, settle down on the sofas for a movie night, go play some pool.

Left of the main door is the kitchen, light and airy with all you need to rustle up a scrumptious dinner for all. The table and chairs come in handy for breakfasts or for feeding young ‘uns who need to eat earlier than the grown-ups. From the kitchen there’s a hallway with stairs up to Bedrooms 1 to 7; most of the beds at The Plough are zip and link so can be arranged as super kings or twins and most have ensuite shower rooms and views of the fields and distant hills. All have a wonderful hygge feel and a very restful ambience, so that and the fresh country air should help you to sleep well. Four of the bedrooms are brilliant for families as they have extra guest beds (2 of these are charged optional extras - See Rooms). Bedrooms 8-10 are on the ground floor and all have ensuite shower rooms. Bedroom 11 is generally arranged as a twin room; it can be set up with a super king bed, though with one side of the bed against the wall, but actually that’s not a squash by any means – it’s still a good-sized room.

Outside there’s a large patio with outdoor seating and a built-in barbecue; if the sun gets too much you can dine in the shade of the leafy arbour; at night it’s a nice place to sit and chat beneath the twinkly lights. The lawn is big enough for croquet, French cricket, handstands, kiss chase, whatever you want to play! The icing on the cake at The Plough is the hot tub, which seats 7 and is tucked away at the side of the house beneath a wooden gazebo, so even if it’s raining you can still slip out there and enjoy a good soak. Find your great big happy at The Plough!
