From its origins as a traditional grain barn, The Granary has recently been transformed into a stunning, spacious holiday home sleeping up to 18 guests in 9 en suite bedrooms, with capacity for a further 6 guests at an extra cost - please see our Extra Beds page. Set in the glorious Somerset countryside, the light and airy accommodation, with a huge L shaped living space and fantastic heated pool, is hard to beat for any happy gathering of family, friends, or work colleagues; with complete privacy it's a great place for any joyful celebration or relaxing holiday.

Just imagine sitting back in the big hot tub with a (plastic!) glass of bubbly, taking in a huge night sky full of stars, or gazing out across miles and miles ofbeautiful green fields and rolling hills - what bliss! The large garden offers nothing but leisure and relaxation; you can soak up some rays on the sunny patio, have a picnic on the lawns, or enjoy a sizzling barbecue - all amidst the wonderful countryside. There's even a wonderful Nordic style BBQ lodge with plenty of seating for all! With softly undulating pasture all around, The Granary sits at the foot of the wild and beautiful Quantock Hills- an area that has plenty of opportunity for exploring the great outdoors on foot, by bike, or on horseback. Or you could jump in the car and pootle about the quiet, narrow lanes to wind up at one of the pretty country inns to sample a pint of local ale or enjoy a laid back pub lunch. Just up the road is Nether Stoweywhere you can visit the former home of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, or have a traditional cream tea in a quaint tea shop.

A little further afield you'll find some interesting towns full of independent shops and eateries; try Taunton, Wellingtonor head across to Wells and visit the cathedral.There's a diversity of beaches on the Somerset coastline, some great for fossil hunting, some for beach sports, and some for old fashioned bucket and spade fun - we suggest Kilve, Berrowand Mineheadrepsectively. Exmoor National Parkis within easy reach, with heaps to see and do there; make a day trip of it and take the kids to Exmoor Zoo, visit the pretty little villages of Porlock, or Lyntonand Lynmouth, explore the wild heaths and see the famous Exmoorponies, or roam the wooded combes and clifftops in the steps of Lorna Doone! Then head back to The Granary for a big barbecue and a good night's sleep, after all that fresh country air!
