Quantock Barns

These centuries old farm buildings at the foot of the Quantock Hills in Somerset have been thoughtfully transformed into an impressive complex of luxury holiday cottages sleeping 14 plus up to 10 more guests (charged extra). There’s a GAMES ROOM and HOT TUB. 4 cots at no extra charge.

When you book Quantock Barns to sleep 14 guests what you'll have is the main barn, The Wagon House, and 5 smaller self-contained suites, all opening onto a large courtyard with outdoor seating and a barbecue. 4 further self contained barns sleep up to 10 more guests (charged extra) – see our Extra Beds  page for details.

Each barn is furnished to a high standard, in a chic and modern style. With the exception of The Shire Horse, the suites have well equipped kitchen/living areas and en suite shower rooms (Shire Horse has a wet room). Bedroom 1 of the Wagon House has the luxury of a free standing bath within the bedroom as well as an en suite shower room. Neutral tones give a very calm and restful ambience, just what you need for relaxed holiday living.

The Wagon House sleeps 4 people in 2 first floor en suite bedrooms; downstairs is a large open plan living space with a well equipped kitchen, dining area to seat 14, and big comfy sofas. French doors open onto a courtyard at the back of the house with seating and a hot tub.

Right next door are Wagon Wheel and Double Tree, two self-contained suites both sleeping 2 in a superking beds with en suite shower rooms, TVs and a kitchen and living area. Then there’s the Games Room with a pool table and a big TV for movie nights, and across the courtyard is The Shire Horse, self-contained and sleeping two in zip and link beds (superking or twin), with a TV and an en suite wet room. Next to this are Paddock 1 and Paddock 2, both also sleeping 2 in zip and link beds, with TVs and en suite shower rooms; in between them is a kitchen/living area, the Grazing Paddock.

The courtyard provides a great space for you all to get together on warmer days for morning coffee, al fresco lunches and barbecues; there’s plenty of sturdy garden furniture, and a generous BBQ area with space each side for preparing and serving food – you see it’s all been so well thought out. Quantock Barns is such a brilliant set up for large group holidays; with the suites being self-contained it means you can have your own space when you want to but congregating together isn’t a problem at all with a games room, a big dining table in the Wagon House and that central courtyard. Ah, happy days!
