Pitmaston House will impress you from the minute you walk in to the commodious reception hall; just get those Corinthian style pillars, the plush velvet sofa and the trendy cowhide rug - this place is SO stylish! Off to the left is the vaulted kitchen/dining room, an amazing space that was the conservatory back in the days when the house was lived in by a prominent horticulturalist; it's got everything you need for a sociable large group stay – 2 big ovens, a large halogen hob, plenty of gadgets, and a big sturdy dining table to sit around for leisurely meal times or celebratory feasts. Just next door is the cinema room/snug, a lovely cosy room for curling up for a good night's viewing, playing board games or just chatting. Go out to the hall again and straight ahead down a couple of steps there's a gorgeously boudoir loo! Next to it is  the most amazing drawing room - double height ceilings, a big decorative fireplace with a big TV above it, plenty of big fat sofas to comfy up on and even a mezzanine floor where you can chillax on the beanbags. A secret door allows you to slip into the enormous games room where you can play pool, air hockey or table football, and to make life really easy for you there's a kitchen area with a fridge-freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher, so you can rustle up refreshments without going back through to the kitchen.

Also on the ground floor is Bedroom 8, with an en suite shower room, zip and link beds (superking or twin) and room for two extra beds. On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-4; Bedroom 1 has a kingsize bed and a spacious mezzanine dressing area;as well as an en suite shower room there’s a free-standing bath in front of a window in the bedroom. Bedroom 2 has a contemporary four poster bed and an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower; Bedroom 3 has zip and link beds (superking or twins) and an en suite shower room, and Bedroom 4 is a long room with a semi-dividing feature brick wall; there’s a kingsize bed and an en suite shower room.

Bedrooms 5 to 7 are on the top floor. Bedroom 5 has a kingsize bed and an en suite shower room; we love the quirky Penguin Book wallpaper and the little balcony that overlooks the rear garden and the park beyond. Bedroom 6 is a double aspect room with a double bed and an en suite shower room; Bedroom 7, has a kingsize bed and an en suite bathroom with a bath tub and separate shower. All bedrooms except for 3 and 6 can accommodate extra beds - please see the floor plans for details.

At the back of the house is the hot tub/swim spa, a ground level trampoline, and a wonderful dining pavilion. This is such a sociable spot; spend an evening beneath the twinkly lights sizzling steaks on the bbq or cooking Margheritas in the pizza oven. If it gets chilly, light the firepit, wrap up in warm blankets and stay out nattering quietly 'til it’s time for bed; it’s what holidays are all about.
