Ortus House

There’s room for 1 extra guest at an additional charge. 2 cots/toddler beds at no extra charge, 2 well behaved dogs welcome.

Ortus House has all you need and more besides for your large group holiday! Absolutely top notch facilities, style, space and luxury, and you know, it just feels so welcoming. It’s a fantastic property for when you’re celebrating a big birthday, an anniversary or something, but no less fantastic for family holidays and hen weekends.

Step into a big light and airy reception hall with the kitchen off to the right. This is a huge and sociable space; well-equipped and well designed, with a table and chair to one end, sofas and TV at the other, and in between room for cooking and preparing some very special celebration dinners. Off this is a utility room with a washing machine and dryer, a laundry room, and the rear stairs. Lockable doors lead to the garden and the indoor infinity wave pool, which in turn leads to the changing room and steam room.

Back in the main hallway doors take you to the lounge, with velvety sofas, an open fire, and a monster of a TV, and to the dining room where a long antique style table seats 14. Left of this is the gym where you can work out on a cross trainer, rowing machine and exercise bike. Then there’s a commodious downstairs cloakroom and a wide staircase that takes you up to a galleried landing and to Bedrooms 1-4, all with kingsize beds and up-to-the-minute en suite facilities. Bedroom 1 has its own dressing area, a big bath and double walk-in shower; the others all have shower rooms.

The second staircase goes down to the kitchen or up to the games room, Bedrooms 5-7, and a shower room on the top floor. As well as zip and link beds Bedroom 7 has the option of an additional single bed at an extra charge.

Outside at the back of the house, there’s a huge patio that runs the whole length of the house; this is a great spot for alfresco entertaining; you'll find there's more than enough garden furniture, an outdoor kitchen with a bbq (Easter-Oct), fridges and a drinks cooler, patio heaters and even a heated canopy! And of course, the hot tub and the outdoor heated infinity pool, complete with slide – such fun! On the lawn there’s play equipment, a sunken trampoline and a quiet seating area.
