Come to Hurstone for a large group holiday in the Somerset countryside. The location is wonderful, right on the edge of Exmoor National Park, so the views are breath taking. Hurstone dates back to the 14th century when it was built as a farmhouse, but now it’s a perfect blend of traditional country style and modern facilities that’s just right for family holidays, hen weekends, celebrations and corporate stays for up to 18 people.
You can venture into the beautiful countryside right from the doorstep, so go and explore; follow tiny footpaths and bridleways over the hills, through open fields and ancient copses. Factor in a country pub for lunch, or a peaceful spot for a picnic and you’re sorted! Head off to Exmoor for the day and discover beauty spots like Tarr Steps, Watersmeet and Culbone Church; pootle about the picturesque villages – Bossington, Selworthy and Porlock, or head over to the coast and explore the Doone Valley. Ride the Victorian Cliff Railway at Lynton and Lynmouth, see the craggy Valley of Rocks where wild goats graze, soak up some history at Dunster Castle, or buy flour at the watermill to make bread with.
Browse the shops and the farmers market in Wellington, grab some retail therapy in Taunton or Exeter, release your inner Lewis Hamilton at Mansell Raceway, sample traditional cider at Sheppey’s Cider, sit back on a horse drawn barge for a leisurely ride along the Grand Western Canal at Tiverton, visit beautiful historic houses like Knightshayes Court and Cothay Manor, or have a day on the beach at Minehead or Blue Anchor. Absolutely heaps to do!
But you know, you don’t have to go anywhere, you could easily while away the time at Hurstone because it’s so utterly relaxing, and so peaceful; it’s a chance to stock up on happy memories. Book your stay today!

"10/10 - Chrys was so helpful before and during our stay. Hurstone House is a beautiful county house and was perfect for our family's stay. The house had so much character and was so cosy plus we had an abundance of logs so we could enjoy a real fire. The snooker room and hot tub were fantastic and proved very popular with all the family. Dunkery Beacon has great views and worth the walk up to the top. Dunster is a beautiful town and the castle worth visiting."
