Feel yourself start to unwind the minute you step in through the door at Ham Bottom; the feel is undeniably calm; it's bright and airy, with lots of natural daylight flooding in. The decor is chic and contemporary with bold splashes of colour and sturdy furnishings. Walk in to the open plan games area, with a pool table and table football that will be a hit with the youngsters; there's a big flat screen TV and a DVD player. Soft and comfy sofas and funky pink chairs give you somewhere to relax, and bi-fold doors open out onto the patio.

Go through the games room to the well appointed kitchen/diner, and on two sides bifold doors give access out onto the patio where there's a covered hot tub, and to those gorgeous views across the valley. It's a very sociable kitchen with stools at a central island, and there's stacks of modern convenience; 2 big ovens and a large halogen hob, 2 microwaves and 2 dishwashers, as well as a fridge/freezer, separate fridge and drinks fridge. A long dining table seats all for lazy breakfasts and lavish feasts alike.

To the other side of the games room are two bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, zip and link beds (these can be configured to your requirements), and flatscreen TV's. Go right through the kitchen/diner and you'll find a handy WC/utility room with plenty of room for coats and boots after a muddy walk. Beyond this is the pool room, and wow, it's impressive! Huge bi-fold doors you can pull back to let the sun in, plenty of room around the pool for loungers and for sheer indulgence, there's even a roomy sauna.

A chunky oak staircase leads to the first floor and the large open plan living room; bright and airy and stylish with those characteristic splashes of colour, and French doors that open onto a balcony. It's a lovely place to sit and chat or read, and to raise a glass when the sun goes down over the valley.

Wooden flooring gives a wonderful feeling of warmth and space upstairs; no doubt about it, Ham Bottom exudes serenity. The 4 ensuite bedrooms all have zip and link beds and flatscreen TV's; two of the ensuites are wet-rooms and 2 have the luxury of free standing baths as well as walk-in showers.

The 2 acres of grounds offer much privacy, with views that seem to stretch to infinity across the fields. You're going to love the big hot-tub - it's covered with a moveable dome so it's safe and it's great for year round use; if you want to feel the sunshine just slide the cover back. There's heaps of room on the patio to get some steaks sizzling on the BBQ and ample garden furniture, and it's just such a lovely spot for dining alfresco. If the English weather lets you down - fear not! Just get cosy in the Nordic style barbecue lodge, play cards and tell stories beneath the twinkly lights. One of the best things about a large group family holiday is seeing the children have fun; plenty of opportunity for that at Ham Bottom, with sturdy play equipment, football goals, and great big lawns to run around! Happy holidays!
