Interiors are modern and stylish, the house is very well-equipped to help your holiday go smoothly, and there's something for all ages.

All around are lush pastures and rolling hills, so you can expect peace and quiet and glorious views; right on the doorstep are paddocks where horses graze, and fields where sheep feed. There are plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore, with walks on designated footpaths, and golfing, fishing and horse riding nearby. Stroll through the fields and along the lane to the White Post Cafe and have lunch in the garden, or wander up to The Globe at Appley Cross for a pub lunch. Get in the car and pootle through the lanes to the sleepy village of Holcombe Rogus where you can buy cider made to age old methods at Ridgeway Cider.

If you're planning days out, you won't have to go far to see the kind of delights the West Country has to offer. Discover Exmoor National Park with its diverse and beautiful scenery, stroll along the river at Watersmeet or Tarr Steps, see the pretty harbour at Porlock Weir, ride the Victorian Cliff Railway at Lynton and Lynmouth. Ride through the countryside on an old-fashioned steam train, alight at Dunster and go and see the castle that stands on the hill above the village; walk along the leat to the working flour mill. Explore the rufty-tufty Quantock Hills where you can amble up through sun dappled combes to bracken clad heaths where wild ponies graze. Venture deep into the Blackdown Hills for a walk to one of the vantage points - Staple Hill, Castle Neroche, Culm Beacon and Wellington Monument all have views that roll on for miles.

Shopaholics will like Exeter or Taunton, or for bargains galore, Clarks Village at Street. Take the kids to Flip Out Wellington, Crealy Adventure Park, or further afield, Paignton or Bristol Zoo. Within an hour you can be on the Jurassic Coast, with its wonderful beaches; go fossil hunting and rockpooling at Charmouth, visit Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and have a mackerel fishing trip at Lyme Regis, tuck into crab sandwiches down by the shore at Ducky's Beach Café in Beer. In the other direction are the beaches of the Somerset coast; Minehead, Blue Anchor, Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are all good for happy days on the sand; hire deck chairs, roll up your trouser legs for a paddle.

When you get back to Fuzzy Orchard get yourself a glass of something nice and sit out on the patio as the sun goes down, sit back in the hot tub beneath a sky full of stars or snuggle up beneath the twinkly lights in the BBQ lodge telling stories late into the night.
