Bossington Hall is a beautiful country house for large group holidays in the West Country; 15 bedrooms sleep 30 people, there’s a cinema room,  pool/games room, card room, gaming room, a huge sitting room and two kitchens. Outside are 6 acres of grounds with a children's play area, fly fishing lake, tennis court with thatched pavilion, water gardens and a meadow. Up behind the house is the squash court, at the bottom of the drive is Gate Cottage which can be booked for an extra charge to sleep 6 more guests. This is an absolute gem for big family holidays, reunions of friends, celebrations and self-catering corporate breaks.

The gorgeous location affords staggering far reaching views of the Porlock Vale and Exmoor National Park, but get out there and discover it all for yourself. Stroll down to Bossington village, have tea at Kitnor’s Tea Room and Gardens, spend time on the quiet beach and spot wildlife in the salt marshes. Explore the fields, hills and woodlands of the National Trust owned Holnicote Estate; within 5 minutes you can be on the South West Coast path for bracing cliff top walks. Go down to Porlock and Porlock Weir for an amble about, soak up the timelessness, have lunch at The Ship Inn.

Enjoy a family day on the sands at Minehead, visit the fairytale castle at Dunster, and the working watermill, go to Exmoor Zoo or the Owl & Hawk Centre. Get deep into the real Exmoor, the steep wooded hillsides, the lush river valleys and the wide open heaths, topped with heather, where Exmoor ponies graze. Climb to the top of Dunkery Beacon, the highest summit in the park, stroll up the cliffs to see tiny Culbone Church, or along the river at Watersmeet or Tarr Steps, and just down the road, go and see the chocolate box village of Selworthy with old thatched cottages centred around the green.

You’ll find friendly country pubs and tea shops where you can have a big fat cream tea, and oh, to return to Bossington Hall for a restful night’s sleep after a day exploring – what bliss! Book today!

"10/10 - We spent most of the time in the house as it was a family celebration, although we did all go for a walk down to the beach, which was beautiful. I just wanted to let you all know what a fantastic weekend stay we had at Bossington Hall. The surroundings and gardens were truly beautiful and the children loved it! The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully equipped and furnished. The kitchens had everything you could need!"
