Property Focus - Broomhill Manor. A pretty special place!

Last weekend Emily and her family visited Broomhill Manor to experience first hand just what this lovely part of Cornwall has to offer. In brief, we found it hard to get her back to the office on Monday! Read on to find out why Broomhill Manor is a perfect family get away and absolutely perfect for people still looking for a Christmas and New Year break!

Broomhill Manor sleeps up to 80 people in 4 star luxury. Situated on the outskirts of Bude in Cornwall you have both a rural experience as well as one of an iconic surfers paradise. Cottages full of space and light decorated to a very high standard come as standard along with a wide variety of facilities means there is something for everyone.

Many of the cottages have hot tubs in the gardens, a BBQ comes with each property as too does the warmth and hospitality of Linda and Alan the owners. This is a family run holiday destination and that shows. Care and attention to detail in every part of the complex means that guests feel like they are at home. Albeit a very tidy home with beautifully manicured lawns, gardens and very well equipped games rooms and bar!

The kids loved the quiet indoor swimming pool and the under 6 play room. The adults challenged each other to games of pool and table tennis which Emily, who is fiercely competitive, won of course! There is an outdoor heated swimming pool available in summer months and a tennis court for all to enjoy, just sign up and collect the equipment from reception.  Onsite riding stables and spa treatment area (bookable in advance) can also be found for your enjoyment and relaxation.

Venturing out of the complex – although you may not want or need to finds you in Bude. Having recently won Best UK Coastal Resort Bude is buzzing with things to do and see. The tourist information section of reception gives you a comprehensive outline of things to see and do but you really must take a trip to the beach! Emily and family went a little further afield to Crackington Haven to go rockpooling and look at the amazing rock formations on the cliffs. A popular location for walking and exploring the ice creams aren’t too bad either apparently!

Emily stayed in Sandpiper Cottage which sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, a fantastically spacious living area makes it perfect for families but also provides good space for several families booking 2 or more properties together to socailise. Several other properties at Broomhill, for example, the Manor House Apartment can even have an additional table set up allowing families to seat more people. Whilst the properties are close to each other there is the space and privacy in all to ensure that everyone has a fantastic holiday. This is a unique quality as Broomhill Manor  having a selection of properties next to or close to each other gives everyone flexibility without being in each other's hair. What more could you want?

A very special Chirstmas and New Year

Broomhill Manor is open at Christmas and New Year and would love to welcome family groups looking to spend time away together but have the comfort of their own space. There would be no need at Broomhill to slob in front of the TV in the afternoon here. Meet up at the swimming pool to burn off the excess chocolate, take a stroll to the local pub along the quiet lanes or even attend the champagne reception at the Manor House on New Years Eve. The bar is open in the evenings and could be used if wanting to throw a party or get together. Honestly nothing is too much trouble for Alan and Linda. If you have an idea they will listen and try and accommodate. Having the experience and expertise they know what is important to people namely the time and facilities to produce quality and lasting memories for everyone.

We may all have the idea that we would love an huge property for special events but the reality is quite different, loud and sometimes a bit stifling. The ability to have properties next to each other with the flexibility to come and go is a tried and tested formula. So why not visit and see for yourself. Emily and family will certainly be going back!
