Last Minute Christmas Holidays For Large Groups

If what you really wanted was to spend Christmas in a gorgeous big house with your nearest and dearest all around you, you probably think you’ve missed the boat for this year, but maybe we can help. Just last week our team went over to the New Forest to have a look at Ortus House in Lyndhurst and this place knocked their socks off! We’re absolutely cock-a-hoopie to be adding this fabulous holiday home to our portfolio of luxury self catering accommodation for large groups. It sleeps up to 15 guests, has an indoor AND an outdoor pool, a steam room, gym, games room and play area – and wow factor by the bucket load! Get in!

Book now to make that dream of a great big fun-filled family Christmas come true; Ortus House is available from 21st to 27th of December, so grab it for the whole week or for a happy mid-week stay; bring aunts and uncles, cousins, granny and grandad, even the pet pooch, and have a good old yuletide knees up in style. All the decs will be up for your arrival, a beauty of a tree in the hall, glistening with baubles and fairy lights; just close the door, shut the world outside and get your Christmas jumpers on.

Gather together for a cosy Christmas Eve in; mince pies, mulled wine, a tin of Quality Street. You might even fancy strolling down the road to the local pub and joining in a bit of carol singing round the piano, but don’t go overdoing it, you’ve got a big day tomorrow. And just think of it. A peaceful night’s sleep and then waking up in this beautiful house, excited children rushing downstairs to see what’s beneath the tree… get your Christmas sparkles on and pour everyone a Bucks Fizz to start the day. Then what? Maybe scrambled eggs and smoked salmon before you stuff the bird, put it in the oven and then pull on your boots and go for a short amble in the forest, just a couple of minutes from the door. Otherwise, stay in and have a morning swim in the indoor pool, or raise an in-house pool challenge in the games room.

You won’t need to fret about cooking Christmas dinner – the kitchen’s got everything you need to create a feast fit for a king, it’s so well-equipped! There are two ovens and a six ring hob, plus a handy microwave and steamer; your fizz will be nice and chilled as there are 2 drinks fridges as well as a big fridge-freezer with an integral ice maker, and the washing up? Don’t worry about it – there are four dishwashers so set them to work whilst you enjoy yourself.

Just imagine it! All of you, all sat round the big long dining table, plenty of elbow room, party hats on, pulling Christmas crackers, raising a glass, and tucking in to roast turkey with all the trimmings. You can have a sing-song (there’s Sonos sound throughout the house), so crank up those festive tunes – Last Christmas by Wham, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, and I Wish it Could Be Christmas Every Day! We bet you do! You certainly will after spending this one at Ortus House!

If you’ve overdone it you can wander off to the lounge and flop down on those exquisitely gorgeous velvet sofas, and have a bit of quiet time whilst your dinner goes down. Put the telly on, watch the Queen’s Speech; there are certain traditions you just have to keep up! Later on, play some good old fashioned parlour games with a Christmas twist; charades in the hall, blindman’s buff, pin the beard on Santa – it’ll be great fun! Ho ho ho!

Of course, Christmas is a time when we tend to over indulge, but hey, don’t let it bother you, after all, you’re with your loved ones, it’s holiday time, you’re all close together; just enjoy it. If you really are stressing over it you can have a swim, or go and work out in the gym; round it off with a session in the steam room, guaranteed to give you a healthy rosy glow.

Yes, it’s last minute, but you can do it; get everyone organised and book online today or give us a call on 01823 665500 and make Ortus House all yours for a Christmas to remember because opportunities like this are just too good to miss.
