Quantock Barns are located at the foot of the Quantock Hills surrounded by the gorgeous Somerset countryside. They started life as part of a working dairy farm and have been beautifully converted into luxury holiday accommodation, sleeping 14 guests in 7 bedrooms. The barns retain much traditional charm and are most aptly named - The Grazing Paddock, Wagon Wheel, and The Shire Horse for instance! The accommodation consists of the main barn, The Wagon House, and 5 smaller self contained suites which all open out onto a big central courtyard with seating and a barbecue. There are 4 further self contained barns (3 sleeping 2 people, and 1 sleeping 4) available should your party exceed 14 please see our Extras page for details.
These stylish self contained suites are the perfect solution for a big party where individuals appreciate personal space, whilst allowing the entire party to congregate for more sociable times. Much thought has gone into creating suites that are very separate but retain a sense of 'togetherness' as a group, and all suites are beautifully finished to a high standard, with plenty of space and natural light.
With the pretty courtyard garden and the games room for leisure and relaxation, you may not feel the need to go anywhere else, but if you do, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities right on your doorstep. The wild, rugged beauty of the Quantock Hills is a wonderful area to explore on foot, or bike, or on horseback, and not so far away you'll find the varied scenery of the North Somerset coastline, historic houses to visit, quaint villages to stumble upon, to stop and reflect over a pint of local ale in a quintessential country inn, or to tuck into a big slice of homemade cake in a little tea shop.
Quantock Barns are situated close to the village of Nether Stowey, once home to the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. This delightful location is at the foot of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding natural beauty, yet has quick access to Junction 24 of the M5 and other local routes.
