Haydays is a luxury modern holiday house in Devon, with heaps of space and everything you could possibly need for your large group stay. 5 bedrooms sleep 14, there’s a private indoor pool and hot tub, games room, BBQ lodge and children’s play area. The grounds are gated and secure with a large south facing garden.
Go through the porch into the wide hallway where off to the right is Bedroom 5, sleeping 3 in zip and link beds and a single, plus the option of an extra single at a small charge. Next to this is the spacious living room with plush seating, a big TV and doors that open onto the garden. The other side of the hall is a WC and the kitchen which is well-equipped for your large group stay; there’s a table and chairs which are useful for children who need an earlier dinner time than the grown ups. Left of the kitchen there’s a utility room with laundry facilities, straight ahead there’s a light and airy dining room where a long table sets the scene for happy celebration feasts and bi-fold doors open wide onto the terrace.
To the right of the dining room is the living room, to the left is the games room where you can all unwind with a game of pool; there’s comfy seating for spectators and doors onto the terrace for when you need a breath of fresh air. Off the games room a door leads past a shower room and changing rooms to the spa hall; while away the hours relaxing on loungers, have a soak in the hot tub, and a dip in the pool regardless of what the weather’s doing. If the sun has got his hat on, leave the full height doors open, pop out onto the terrace for a game of table tennis.
Upstairs, off the landing are Bedrooms 1-4; Bedroom sleeps 2 and 1 has an ensuite shower room and a balcony, Bedroom 2 sleeps 3 and also has an ensuite shower room. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have shared use of the main bathroom with a bath and separate shower. All beds are zip and link so you can have them arranged as super kings or twins, all bedrooms have wardrobe space and TVs. If you’re here in the winter you’ll notice how incredibly cosy it is at Haydays – thanks to underfloor heating throughout, run off an underground heat source pump. Green credentials, big tick.
The garden backs onto open fields and has a large lawn to run about on as well as a play area with a climbing fort, slide and a trampoline. There’s a barbecue and pizza oven, but if the weather lets you down, just head for the BBQ lodge. Haydays is a great place to stay any time of year!
