Go out and explore the local area, there's plenty to see and do within just a few miles. Ham Hill Country Park is a mere 10 minutes away with some of the most amazing views in South Somerset, find a nice spot for a picnic and have a walk around; go to the Prince of Wales pub for lunch, or down to the Lord Nelson at Norton-sub-Hamdon. Have a day out gallavanting around the diverse scenery of Exmoor; heather clad heaths, steep wooded valleys and winding country lanes. Soak up the timeless beauty of the Mendip Hills , the craggy Ebbor Gorge and fun-filled Wookey Hole, or head out onto the mystical Somerset Levels to Glastonbury or Wells, where you can take in the hallowed majesty of the cathedral. Shop til you drop at Clarks Village, just 20 minutes away, go rockpooling or fossil hunting along the world famous Jurassic Coast, catch the vibrant street market at Bridport and potter on to West Bay, for fish and chips. For provisions and a morning's browse pop out to the nearby market towns of Crewkerne or Ilminster.

Idle the hours away relaxing around the pool, doing cartwheels on the lawn, or ping-ponging in the games room; snuggle up on the vast horseshoe sofa with a good read or a captivating movie, put your pinnies on and have a family bake off in the kitchen, go gadding about in the countryside.
