Beaverbrook 30

Stunning 10 bedroom Somerset barn conversion, sleeping 30, with indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and BBQ lodge.

Tucked away in a pretty corner of Somerset and surrounded by quiet countryside, these centuries old barns have been brought right into the 21st century with a stylish yet sympathetic conversion. Beaverbrook 30 used to be part of a busy working farm - but now it's the ultimate large group holiday accommodation.

Beaverbrook 30 has all you need for relaxing large group stay; there's a commodious Games Room that has a pool table, table football, air hockey and table tennis, and just off the huge living space is the most fabulous spa hall that has an indoor heated pool, a sauna and a sunken hot tub. In the rear courtyard there's a cosy Scandinavian style BBQ lodge that can seat 30 people, so you can all gather round and tell stories late into the night. On sunny days you can sit on the patio and have a laid-back barbecue whilst you soak up the ambience and breathe in the wonderful country air.

These barns have been owned by the same family for 3 generations, since they were purchased from Lord Beaverbrook during the war. The current owners wanted to keep the rural charm with the conversion and they've certainly achieved that - original local Moolham stone on the outside, and inside exposed bricks, cast iron wall braces, and oak beams, skirting boards and window sills crafted from timber from the estate. It's wonderful and it all just blends seamlessly with the up-to-the-minute furnishings and fittings. including temperature controlled air conditioning.

Beaverbrook 30 is one of only a handful of properties in the sleepy hamlet of Cricket Malherbie, near the little town of Ilminster. All around is gorgeous Somerset countryside; small copses, big open fields and softly rolling hills. You'll find footpaths and lanes to explore right on the doorstep and nearby villages with pubs to stop at for lunch. It's not far to the county town of Taunton, or to Honiton or  Exeter. If you love the peace and quiet and the great outdoors then get out into the beautiful Blackdown Hills , the craggy Mendips, or the mystical Somerset Levels. Go and explore Exmoor National Park, or head over to the beaches of East Devon or West Dorset.
