Beaverbrook 20 has been sympathetically converted from 16th, 17th and 18th century barns to provide stunning and spacious accommodation for up to 20 guests in two separate buildings linked by a pretty courtyard. There's an amazing spa hall with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna; this is hard to beat for those happy big family holidays or large group celebrations.
The main building, The Old Granary Barn, exudes wow factor from the minute you walk in; a roomy hallway takes you through to the enormous open plan living space, flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows, and designed with socialising and entertaining in mind. To one end is a fantastic kitchen area, fully equipped with all the latest appliances and gadgets, including a 6 ovens and 3 dishwashers. A breakfast bar with seating allows for chitchat whilst you create a delicious feast for all to tuck into - or whilst you wait for our tried and tested local caterers to do this for you! Off the kitchen is a useful utility room with a separate WC, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Central to this vast living space is a long hand crafted dining table, commodious enough to seat all; to the other end is a comfy seating area with a TV and big, sumptuous sofas for you to sink into. Making a huge space like this homely is quite a task but at Beaverbrook 20 the owners have excelled - wooden floors, hide rugs, cosy armchairs, well co-ordinated accessories and thoughtful touches all add to that wonderful welcoming feel.
Off the living area is Bedroom 1, with its own wetroom; this bedroom sleeps 2 and it has a lovely ambience, with level access to the central courtyard, and with delightful views of the lane and the charming little church. Also at this end of the building is Bedroom 2, sleeping 2 guests, with a fabulous en suite bathroom with a feature free standing bath and a shower.
The ground floor accommodation continues to two more gorgeous en suite bedrooms (3 and 4), each sleeping 2 in superking size or twin beds. With up-to-the-minute styling, that homey ambience is eveerywhere; you'll love it!
From the hallway stairs rise to the first floor with a spacious landing and 2 WC's. Off to the left is the living room, full of character with natural stone walls, oak beams and the style is so en vogue - it's like stepping into one of those home style magazines! The room has heaps of light from the full length windows, huge, welcoming sofas, and an inbuilt, pull-down screen and projector for TV - also a great opportunity for rolling photographs of your holiday or celebration!
Opposite the living room is the games room, bright and airy with full length windows to both sides. The perfect chill out space, there's a pool table, table tennis, table football, air hockey, TV and DVD, docking station, Bluetooth speakers, and a handy kitchen area to one end, wtih a sink, drinks fridge and a dishwasher. Trendy floor cushions add to the relaxing vibe.
Bedrooms 5-10 are located just across the central courtyard, in the Tie Stalls, the former milking parlour for the working farm. Lovingly converted, these rooms each have a peaceful ambience, with plenty of natural light and French doors giving access to the courtyard. You can leave them open on a balmy summers night and let the fresh country air drift in whilst you sleep. The bedrooms all have zip and link (superking size or twin) beds and en suites with good sized showers. A real bonus is that Beaverbrook 20 has temperature controlled, air conditioning throughout - ensuring year round maximum comfort.
There really is heaps to keep you entertained at Beaverbrook! With full length windows and a door onto the garden, the spa hall houses a fantastic indoor pool (10m x 5m) with plenty of space around it for relaxing loungers. At the end of the hall is a fabulous sunken hot tub and a big indulgent sauna where you can sit and chat whilst enjoying a luxurious deep cleanse! Outside, a sunny patio area has sturdy garden furniture and a barbecue; the brick-walled garden has a lawn and sturdy play equipment so the children can lark about before you all gather together for a cosy barbecue in the fabulous Nordic style BBQ lodge.
