And there's an Italianette style villa on the outskirts of Monmouth that's right on the banks of the River Wye so you wake up to see swans coming in to land and geese taking off, the mist rising over the valley.
If the great outdoors is calling, we've got some brilliant properties on the borders of Somerset and Devon, so you can head off to Exmoor and explore the gorgeously diverse landscape of wild heather clad heaths, steep wooded hillsides, lush river valleys, dramatic clifftops and wide sandy beaches; some are renowned for the surf, and plenty don't have any restrictions for dog walkers. That's a bonus, you don't even have to leave the family pooch behind because we've got several dog friendly holiday homes for large groups.
September is a great time of year to get away if you have children who aren't at school yet. We've thought of them and a lot of our self catering accommodation has secure grounds with play areas where they can let off steam running around on the lawn, or playing on the swings and climbing frame, or the boingy trampoline. We even provide toddler beds, cots and highchairs at no extra cost, which means you can travel a bit lighter.

Book up an activity; you'll find watersports, archery, clay pigeon shooting and one of our favourites, horse trekking in the beautiful Quantock Hills, one of the best ways to see this uniquely scenic part of Somerset.
And the cost? There's a tendency to think big means expensive, but that's not the case with us; if you calculate the cost per person between everyone in your group it works out at less than a decent hotel, so actually, it's very good value considering what you get.
